The 7-Class Joy Journey
Each class is stand alone but can also be seen as a journey.
Class 1 — Foundations of Movement
Establish grounding through the feet and legs while exploring the YM principle of moving the body as one coordinated unit.

Class 2 — Close & Open Spinal Movement
Explore the fundamental YM movement pattern of close and open, developing spinal mobility through roll-downs, side bending, and twisting patterns.

Class 3 — Balance Through Directional Reach
Learn how balance arises through direction and relaxation rather than tension, using reaching patterns and standing coordination.

Class 4 — Strength & Rotation
Develop leg strength and spinal mobility through horse stance work, twisting patterns, and tabletop flows.

Class 5 — Foot, Leg & Spinal Flow
Awaken the feet and legs while exploring coordinated movement through the hips, spine, and torso.

- circular torso movement
- bridge preparation and relaxation
Class 6 — Flowing Standing Sequences
Bring together the principles of grounding, reaching, and coordination in flowing warrior-style movement patterns.

- side-body opening
- shoulder mobility
- warrior transitions
- flowing standing vinyasa
Class 7 — Seated Waves & Integration
The final class explores seated spinal waves and belly-led twisting movements, allowing the body to move fluidly before settling into deep rest.

- long relaxation
This 7-class YM program is a progressive journey from movement to stillness in each class and as a whole.
Across the series, you’ll explore how simple, intelligent movement patterns can develop strength, mobility, balance, and calm awareness in the body.
Each class builds on the last, introducing key YM principles such as close and open spinal movement, whole-body coordination, and relaxed breathing. Through standing work, seated exploration, and floor-based practices, you’ll learn how movement can travel naturally through the body rather than being forced through effort.
The program begins by establishing grounding through the feet and legs, helping you find stability and ease in mountain pose and standing balance work. As the series progresses, these foundations expand into flowing standing sequences, lunges, and warrior-style transitions, encouraging strength while maintaining softness.
Later classes shift toward floor practices, where the focus turns to spinal waves, hip mobility, and seated movement patterns that gently open the body while maintaining connection through the center.
Along the way, you’ll also explore:
- horse stance strength and leg stability
- wave-like spinal mobility
- seated twisting and hip opening
- coordinated whole-body movement
- natural breathing and breath awareness
- deep relaxation and meditation
Every session finishes with guided relaxation and stillness, allowing the body to absorb the work and the nervous system to settle.
Rather than pushing the body, this series teaches how to move with connection, softness, and awareness, helping you develop both physical resilience and a calm, steady mind.
